In November 2009, Destination DIY partnered
up with the lovely ladies of PDX
Salon for An Evening of DIY at The
Woods.
Please enjoy this podcast
episode composed of material recorded that evening:
The event included live demonstrations and
interviews about how to make radio, how to make a terrarium and how to make
bacon. In between, the evening's guests visited the Recording Room to share
their own DIY projects and ideas. An Evening of DIY successfully kicked off
a campaign to raise money for new hour-long, radio-ready episodes of Destination
DIY in 2010. Click the links below to listen to some
of the material recorded that night and, if you feel so inclined, please donate
your support to this project. Thank you so much to everyone
who has already donated their support.
An Evening of DIY (clean version):
Extended content from the Recording
Room:
Collin Oldham of DorkbotPDX

an engine apart sound like a perfectly sensible idea.

a Portland venue known as The
Woods. She says when you start a business, you do pretty much
everything yourself.
Before giving a demonstration about how to
make a terrarium onstage, Stephanie Brachmann stepped into the
Recording Room to talk about making
yogurt.
Alisha Sullivan, Sara Shaw and Morgan Ennis
bring their taste for food, music, art and ideas to PDX
Salon.
Portland pie commissioners LeeAnn
Locher and Gretchen Schackel wax wistful about the Portland
Pie-Off.
